Enable Leader
The Role
Working across Shropshire providing supported social opportunities for children, young people, 0 – 18 years, and those that care for them of all ages, growing up with the impact of a Hidden Disability.

As part of the Enable team you will work both in your local area and across the county providing both the support required for success and delivering a range of multi activity, including sport, play and creative activities in community facilities, family days out, activity sessions for specific age ranges without their families and one to one sessions with identified families.

With the overarching aim to provide safe, welcoming, positive, meaningful, high quality sessions and to ensure the successful participation of all members, at all Empathy activities.

This not a social care or teaching role.

It is a capable, trusted, approachable anchor. A friendly face to be depended upon and to gently encourage, to push participants outside of their comfort zone and catch them if they fall.
Your role is to deliver the activities and have fun whilst leading by example and breaking down the barriers for all.
At times you will have to think on your feet, working both within a team and managing yourself to always deliver to the highest of standards.

Empathy believes that everyone has a role to play in keeping children safe and takes the protection from harm of all children and young people very seriously. As an Enabler you have a vital role to play in keeping children safe and it is expected that you will know, understand, always work within and know how to implement the safeguarding polices procedures and be confident and comfortable to raise any concern about any child.
